We’ve all been there—trying to feel better about ourselves by writing down positive affirmations, only to find it doesn't quite hit the mark. I remember covering my house with Post-it notes, jotting down my desires on the mirror, and hoping to manifest that perfect life. But despite my best efforts, something just wasn't clicking. I tried everything, and eventually, I gave up, thinking that maybe positive self-talk wasn’t for me. That’s when I stumbled upon a little trick that worked like a charm. In this blog, I’m going to share what I learned to help you start feeling better about yourself so you can attract and manifest the life you desire. Let's dive in!
I was really ready to try anything to create the life I wanted, but I knew that first, I had to change myself. I had to let go of those old, limiting thoughts and become someone new. So, I turned to popular strategies I found online—writing out positive thoughts 15 times a day, setting a schedule, and even finding someone to hold me accountable. I thought, “This is what professionals do. I’m ready to take charge!”
But as I began writing, the only thing that happened was that I felt tired, cranky, and completely detached from the words I was repeating. It felt like I was in detention, repeating lines I didn’t believe in. Instead of empowering me, it brought out my rebellious side—the one that doesn’t like being told what to do, even by myself!
Despite my best intentions, it just didn’t work. I was talking about someone else, not the person I truly was. And how was I supposed to create my goals from that self-limiting mindset? It was exhausting, and I knew I needed something different—something that resonated with me on a deeper level.
What I realized was that my logical mind, as practical as it might be, was too slow and dense to keep up with my desires. I needed a little spark, a little magic to propel me forward. That’s when I discovered energy medicine, and it was like a light bulb went off. I’ve always been drawn to the mystical side of life, so when I could see, sense, and experience the energy in something, it moved me forward so much faster.
On this journey, I found an exercise by Jim Self, an incredible teacher in mastering alchemy. He talks about “living words” and the energy and vibration that words and thoughts carry. He explains how these high-frequency words can create a platform—a new program from which to manifest your goals. This concept was priceless to me because simply writing my dreams down wasn’t enough. I needed to upgrade my energetic blueprint.
What really helped me was finding words that resonated with me—high-frequency words that I could feel in my body. You see, just like how negative words can bring you down, high-frequency words can elevate you. They build a new platform, just for you, where you can stand tall and manifest your dreams.
For example, words like confident, certain, powerful, abundant, courageous, dedicated, and creative made me feel like I was getting an energetic upgrade just by saying them. The key is to pick words that make you feel good inside because that’s where the magic of manifestation lies. Your emotions are magnetic, and when you feel good, you attract good.
Now, I’d like to share a simple exercise to help you anchor these high-frequency words into your energetic blueprint:
You can repeat this exercise with each word on your list. Take your time, feel the energy, and let it become part of your new blueprint.
This energy is always accessible to you. Just take a moment to call it up whenever you need it. I recommend checking in weekly to refresh your energetic platform and continue upgrading your blueprint. This way, you’ll stay aware of those old, automatic programs that try to sneak back in and can consciously choose how you want to feel.
You can even use this technique to set the tone for your day, before meetings, or when you need an extra boost of positivity.
Writing down positive traits or affirmations isn’t going to work if you don’t believe in the words you write. Instead, by building an energetic platform, you align yourself with the vibrational field that truly resonates with you. This method allows you to project your intentions into the world, making the laws of attraction work in your favor.
