Alright, let’s dive into something super exciting – I’m going to share with you the seven steps for connecting with higher consciousness! Called the BLESS ME method, inspired by Suzanne Giesemann. Each letter of “BLESS ME” stands for a step that’ll guide you from regular, day-to-day awareness into this beautiful expanded state where you can connect with loved ones across the veil, tune into your guides, tap into the wisdom of the masters, or feel the presence of your higher self.

And here’s the thing: before we start BLESS ME, let’s set an intention. What’s your purpose here? Are you trying to connect with a guide, a loved one who’s passed, or just soak in the sensation of your own peaceful, beautiful wholeness? Setting a clear intention makes everything so much more powerful. Think of it like setting your GPS before starting your journey – you get where you want to go with a little more ease and clarity.

Alright, ready? Let’s start the BLESS ME journey!

B – Breathe

Okay, you’re already breathing – but here, we’re going to breathe with purpose. This kind of breathing is designed to slow down that busy mind and start raising your vibration. It’s all connected: the calmer you feel, the higher your energy vibrates. And when you’re vibing high, you’re way more aligned with those on higher planes who want to connect with you. Let’s start with three deep breaths, okay?

  • Inhale for a count of four, and exhale for a count of six. This longer exhale is key – it works with your body’s vagus nerve to calm you down, activating your relaxation response.
  • Picture it like this: as you breathe out, you’re pressing “relax” on your body’s built-in control panel. With every breath out, feel yourself let go of stress and settle deeper into peace.

With three breaths, you’ll likely find yourself in a calmer, more expansive state called Alpha, which is where you want to be to start connecting.

L – Lift

Next, we lift our vibration. Get ready to feel a gentle shift into a place that feels lighter, brighter. One quick way? Bring to mind something you’re grateful for. Let that feeling of gratitude fill you up. Imagine a light within you, and with every breath, make that light brighter, sending it outward. You’re shining a bit more, becoming a lighthouse in this expansive space.

If you feel “gunked up” – maybe you’ve had a stressful day, or you’re dealing with some heavy emotions – take this time to really focus on lifting your energy. Think of someone or something you love, visualize a calming scene, or try a simple chakra clearing (anything that clears and brightens your energy). Stay in this step until you feel uplifted, harmonized, and ready to connect.

E – Expand

Now that you’re relaxed and lifted, it’s time to expand. Usually, we feel our awareness within our own body, right? But you’re so much more than just this body! With this step, you’re expanding beyond it. Breathe in, and as you exhale, picture your energy extending outward, beyond the body, beyond the room, faster than light, until you feel limitless, merging with the whole field of consciousness. Really let yourself feel that expansion – that you’re part of something much bigger, connected to everything.

S – Surrender

Now, it’s time to surrender, to set aside your human story. Yes, the “story of you” – with all its roles, labels, and attachments – is part of your journey here on Earth, but for this moment, let it go. You’re connecting as a soul, which is a much freer, more expansive part of you. Simply say to yourself, “I surrender.” With that, let the barriers and identities that usually define you fade away. Feel how this opens you up to connect even deeper.

S – Shift

Here, we shift our awareness, almost like changing the channel on a remote. You’ve set your intention, you’re open, and now it’s time to move into the frequency of your guides, loved ones, or any being you wish to connect with. You don’t have to know exactly where or how – just trust. It’s like you’re tuning in; just press that invisible “shift” button. One technique? Gently roll your eyes upward for a second as you say “shift.” You might even feel a little internal lift, like an elevator going up.

M – Merge

Finally, we merge. You’ve shifted your focus, set your intention, and now it’s time to merge with the energy you’ve been waiting for. This isn’t about losing yourself; it’s about blending your awareness with the guidance and wisdom of higher consciousness. Whether you’re feeling the presence of a loved one, receiving messages from your guides, or tuning into your own higher self, you’re connecting. Take a breath, relax, and allow yourself to receive. You’re there, merged with the expansive wisdom of the Universe.

E – Enjoy

This last step? Enjoy. Take in the experience, let it fill you with peace, guidance, and love. This is a place you can return to again and again, each time gaining a little more clarity, wisdom, and insight.


And that’s it – the BLESS ME method! You’ve guided yourself into this expanded state, connecting deeply with whatever part of the cosmos you’re reaching out to. It’s beautiful, simple, and a powerful way to remember that you’re never alone. You’re part of something vast, and you’re always supported.
